Education: Knowledge, Experiences and good practices in Road Safety
Awareness : set up various communication channels (website, newsletter, online forum, social media) and organize meetings and conferences
Advocacy: Working with Government and Non-Government partners to provide advocacy and promote public policy for improved Road Safety and implement Supreme Court Guidelines on Good Samaritan Policy
Rehabilitation: develop post -hospital rehabilitation centers, including sports, educational and vocational rehabilitation, for spinal cord patients throughout Andhra Pradesh , beginning in Visakhapatnam and across.
Empowering PwMD: promote an interdisciplinary approach to the selection, implementation and provide Assistive Technology Services to meet educational, vocational, transitional and independent living goals of individuals with disabilities.
Every paralyzed person has only one wish and one goal; to walk again and become totally independent. This can only be possible with complete cure which is long awaited. Recent research has shown the possibility of such a cure within the next five to seven years. “Many people don’t believe in this but most of us do. Until such time we have to go through extensive rehabilitation which can restore some lost functions and give us some freedom“. The goal of the Visakhapatnam center is not just to help patients, but to turn them into helpers of patients themselves. Our center is providing free help so that those who get free help can also give free help. Thus they can come out of depression, having found a purpose to help others (as they have been helped).
